An art gallery in the heart of Bungay is set to spread festive joy with handmade and "unique" products.

The Bell Gallery in Earsham Street will transform at the end of this month into an "Artists & Makers Festive Shop" for the Christmas period.

The shop will be selling a range of artwork and products made by more than 20 different local artists and makers.

As well as painting and prints, the shop will also include sculptures, glass, decorative ceramics, pottery, jewellery, soaps, candles, handblown baubles, and books.

Jackie Bell, owner of The Bell Gallery, said: "The inspiration for the Festive Shop came from my love of handmade products.

"Giving someone a gift that has been made by a professional artist is something that will be treasured forever.

"There is definitely a trend for sustainable gifting, where craftmanship and artistic brilliance is appreciated and valued."

Before opening the gallery two years ago, Ms Bell ran a homeware shop called Bells of Suffolk for 18 years in the same premises.

She added: "Christmas was always such an exciting time with the shop full of decorations, gifts, and sparkle.

"We are looking forward to creating a buzz and an enjoyable experience for people to shop for gifts in real life, where they can see the products and enjoy making their choices in a pleasant atmosphere."
