Her business offers a range of services for dogs and cats, and even rabbits and guinea pigs.
These include anxious dog haircuts and nail clippings for dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs and also ear cleaning dematting, deshedding, and grooming for cats and dematting and deshedding for rabbits and guinea pigs.

She advertises her business as an “alternative to mainstream grooming” where she has “more time with the animals than other groomers”.
She added that this is to help reduce the stress for both the animals and the owners.
Ms Merrells said she understood that when a pet becomes anxious, “it makes the owner anxious too”.

Prior to running Cloe Clips, she worked in a veterinary practice for ten years.
Ms Merrells said: “When I did my grooming certificate, I could see the environment was stressful for a lot of the dogs."
"I have met so many pets over my years working in practices who are just so terrified of being left by their owners."
