Pupils from Albert Pye and Ravensmere Community Primary School in Beccles have taken on a fundraiser at Tesco.
The children spent the morning of October 5 packing bags and scanning customers' shopping to raise funds for their residential trip at the end of the summer term.
They are hoping to raise enough money to significantly reduce the cost of their activity holiday.
Louise Creed, head of school, said: “Our Year 6 children are so looking forward to having a residential school trip this year, the first one organised by the school since before the Covid pandemic, and we are excited to have this event firmly back on the school agenda.
"Residential trips allow students to build resilience, work on team skills and form lifelong memories.
"To have the children raising money for this event means we can reduce the cost for parents and ensure every child can attend."
The initiative was set up by the Friends of Albert Pye and Ravensmere, a parent, teacher, and friends association (PTFA) that arranged a variety of activities for the schools last year, including discos, raffles, bake sales, and a summer fête.
The funds they raised were used to support various school projects, including a school allotment, coaches for trips, and purchasing musical instruments.
The school and PTFA expressed their gratitude to Tesco and everyone who contributed to the fundraiser.

The generosity of the public saw the pupils raise £382.02, which will significantly support their residential trip.
The school looks forward to Tesco hosting similar events again on March 1 and June 7 next year.
Anyone wishing to support further initiatives at the Albert Pye and Ravensmere Primary School by sponsoring a trip or match-funding an event are encouraged to contact the PTFA by email at albertpyefriends@gmail.com.
