A bid for a beauty parlour on the Broads has been given the green light.
The planning submission by Laura McKaig and Sebestian Clarke related to the change of use of a barn and horse stables at Mettingham, near Bungay.
Their application for a “change of use of an existing agricultural building to use Class E and associated works to accommodate beauty treatment rooms” to the Broads Authority.
In the proposed floor plan for the building in Low Road, it shows four treatment rooms, a staff area with toilets, and a reception area with a guest toilet.
In the business case letter, Ms McKaig said: “Our clinic will prioritise a small, personal approach.”
She also adds that the clinic will provide “specialised treatments that are currently unavailable in the area”.

The building is currently being used as an agricultural barn and horse stables for personal use and storage.
The application also proposed six new parking spaces and said the clinic will operate between 11am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
In commentating on the application, Maxine Williams, Mettingham Parish Clerk, said: “Regarding this consultation, traffic management would be the only potential concern, however the council is supportive of the proposal to encourage local businesses and agricultural diversification.”
