A 28-year-old drug dealer from east Suffolk has been given a suspended sentence for two offences.
Rhys Packer, who is of Southwold Road in Brampton, near Halesworth, appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court in August where he admitted possession with intent to supply cannabis and being concerned in the supply of the drug.
Court documents say on April 5 last year he was caught with cannabis in Norwich, but he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply from October 22, 2022 up until he was arrested.
The defendant was given 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, concurrent on both offences.
A suspended sentence was passed because Norwich Magistrates’ Court heard Packer is of good character, is in employment, has family responsibilities and there is a realistic prospect of rehabilitation.
In addition to the suspended sentence, he was told to pay a surcharge of £154.
