A pizza restaurant and takeaway is facing objections over traffic safety after applying for retrospective planning permission.
01 Pizza, located on Ingate Street, Beccles, has been open since February.
However, applicant Mr Erden only applied for permission from East Suffolk Council for a change of use from a Class E restaurant to a Sui Generis use take-away and restaurant in July.
The planning and highways committee at Beccles Town Council has now objected to the application.
It raised concerns over the frequent traffic and the parking area causing a "traffic safety hazard".

The Suffolk County Council highway authority also holds an objection to the proposal, with concerns over the three parking bays located in front of the building.
In a letter from Mohammedur Rashid-Miah, transport planning engineer, he says the vehicles would be “obstructing the public footway” and therefore it is not considered “safe and suitable for vehicle users to enter and exit the site/park in those spaces”.
A neighbour has also expressed their opposition to the application with similar concerns about the traffic.
They said the high turnover of delivery drivers and customers collecting food block the path, “forcing” pedestrians onto the road.

They also have raised the noise from customers and staff were audible from the gardens of the properties by the rear of the business when the doors were open in the summer months.
Mr Erden had originally applied for "change of use to restaurant (Class E) and installation of external extractor flue to rear elevation" at the end of 2022, which was refused in early 2023.
In June 2023, an application "Installation of external extractor flue in connection with use a restaurant (Class E)" was approved.
No decision about the retrospective application has been made yet by East Suffolk Council.
The applicant has been contacted for comment.
