The Bungay Medical Centre has donated more than £6,100 to The East of England Ambulance Service Charity, providing valuable resources for first responders.
The funding supports the acquisition of life-saving kit bags and a specialised lifting chair for the Bungay community first responder (CFR) group.
Volunteer Bungay CFR Alan Rudd expressed his gratitude, saying: “I would like to thank Professor Hand, Mr Huggins and all the trustees for their generosity with the donation made towards Bungay community first responders."
The funds will cover more of the area and reduce the strain on frontline ambulance services.

Professor Hand, chairman of the Bungay Medical Centre CIO, affirmed the centre's commitment to supporting health-focused organisations, especially in rural areas.
Acknowledging the slower ambulance response times, Hand specified that Bungay CFR group was the "sort of organisation that we support."
Community Response manager, Peter Sefton-Smalley, also hailed the donation as beneficial for local patients, particularly those who have experienced falls.
He urged further donations to the East of England Ambulance Service Charity to help enable the crucial work of community first responders.
