Rev David Owen and his wife Nina received heartfelt tributes and gifts in a final service, following his decade-long commitment at the Chet Valley Benefice.
Rowena Bryce, churchwarden of St Mary's Church at Sisland, said: "Thank you on behalf of the church officials PCC members and congregations from the churches for your pesonal contribution, your prayers and activities you have led in the past ten years."
As a final farewell, the Loddon Bellringers rang a special quarter peal of plain bob triples.
