Plans to turn a car sales showroom into new homes have been submitted.
Bellingham Homes Ltd has submitted an application to East Suffolk Council to build 39 new homes at the former MR King & Sons car dealership in Halesworth.
According to plans submitted with the application there could be four one-bedroom apartments, 20 two-bedroom apartments, eight two-bedroom homes, six three-bedroom homes and one four-bedroom home.
The design and access statement states the propsosal will represent a "harmonious marriage of past and present" and will preserve the "historic fabric" of the Halesworth conservation area.
It added: "The design will look to create a unique development that also connects and fits in seamlessly to its setting and the wider area.
"The conversion of the workshop and malting's building serves as a focal point, paying homage to the industrial heritage of Halesworth while breathing new life into these historic structures.
"The proposal will bring the site back to life with a visually pleasing and also highly accessible layout."
The new homes will be accessed by an updated and modified entrance off Quay Street.
