Suffolk County Council is selling a farmhouse previously attached to one of its county farms in the north of the county.
Whitehouse Farm at Flixton, near Oulton Broad, consists of a large, detached farmhouse which was previously occupied as part of a council farm.
It is being sold with 1.48 acres of land and includes a detached brick barn and with a guide price of £300k to £350k.
"The farmhouse has been latterly configured to form a main house and adjoining cottage which interconnects at first floor level," said auctioneers Cheffins.
"Dating back to the 1800s and with character details, it is understood that the property is not listed, giving buyers a wonderful opportunity to reconfigure the building to their own taste and layout."
It will be sold at auction on June 12 with bidding in the room and online. It forms part of a sale which includes a range of land, smallholdings, homes and commercial properties across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Cheffins director Ian Kitson said: “There seems a growing momentum in the property market, helped by some recent lowering of mortgage rates, and it appears that buyers are therefore keen to purchase assets of all types due to the more positive outlook on the horizon.”
