An ice cream company has been ordered to pay a former employee over £10,000 for discrimination of his illness, an employment tribunal has ruled.
Jamie Goss had been working for Beccles-based Parravani's for under a year in 2021.
He was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease back in 2015, and due to difficulties he experienced as a result of his illness the tribunal ruled the firm had not treated him fairly.
Mr Goss suffered from anxiety and depression, which was brought on by the Chron's, which had a side-effect which made him need to visit the toilet regularly.

Now the ice cream firm will have to pay him compensation of £10,662.89.
The official documents published by the employment tribunal, which was held at Bury St Edmunds, did not go into detail how the employer had discriminated against Mr Goss.
This newspaper approached Parravani's for comment.
