Four more flood alerts have been issued across Suffolk after further heavy rainfall today. 

This morning the Environment Agency issued four warnings for expected flooding for the Stour Brook from Haverhill to Sturmer, the Rattlesden River from Rattlesden to Combs Fords, the River Lark from Clopton to Martlesham, and the Wrentham Watercourse. 

It came after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain which lasted until 6pm on Sunday.

After further heavy downpours the Environment Agency has issued four more flood warnings in Suffolk. 

These cover the River Box, the River Brett and two warnings for the River Gipping. 

Towns and villages likely to be at risk of flooding include Stowmarket, Needham Market, Lavenham, Hadleigh, Boxford and Thorington Street.

The Environment Agency said: "River levels remain high, and in some places still rising. The watercourse will remain responsive to any further rainfall.

"The forecast is for a generally improving weather picture but with the chance of the odd shower pushing through the catchment.

"We are monitoring the situation."
