Members of Beccles Camera Club learned about the life of polar bears.
A talk was led by a local wildlife photographer who spent four weeks on board the former seal hunting ship Havsel.
The ship and crew journeyed across the Arctic Circle, where they captured images of polar bears in the frigid region of Northern Svalbard, including The Whalenberg Fjord.
The photographer, Bob Johnson, showcased some of his images and videos, including one he obtained of one of the last seal hunts.
He detailed that passengers were treated as if they were seal hunters, with meals served only after the crew had eaten.
One amusing anecdote saw Bob tripping while trying to capture a photograph of a young polar bear, his camera landing in the snow and being investigated by the polar bear.
Shortly after this the camera was retrieved and bob was relieved to find it still working.
