Police have said that no further action will be taken against a driver following a fatal crash on a Suffolk road.
Officers were called to an accident involving a blue Volkswagen Transporter and a pedestrian on the B1062 Bungay Road between Beccles and Bungay in November 2022.
Paramedics were also called to attend the incident and pronounced that the pedestrian involved, a man in his 60s, had died at the scene.
The driver, a man who was 41 years old at the time, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.
The road was closed overnight while police forensics teams evaluated the scene.
Now 13 months on from the incident, the police say no action will be taken against the man who was arrested.
A Suffolk police spokesman said: "Following an investigation no further action will be taken against the driver."
After the incident, Suffolk County Councillor for Beccles Caroline Topping sent her heartfelt condolences to the family of the man who died in the crash.
