The first dog Halloween event is coming to a Suffolk pub this month featuring dog tarot reading, pet portraits and a 'yappy' hour.

The Westleton Crown, near Southwold, has teamed up with dog treat brand Denzel's to host the first event of its kind - a haunted house for dogs.

On Friday, October 13, from 4.30pm until 7pm, the pub will have a range of activities on offer for pooches and their owners to enjoy.

'Yappy hour' will run for the first hour of the event, aimed at pet owners looking to stay hydrated.

There will be a spooky pet portrait area set up for professional photos of guests' furry friends and a pet-friendly tarot reading stand.

There will also be a pet trainer at the event who will be able to teach pets a range of tricks, including playing ‘dead’, hiding from a ghost, or going trick-or-treating.

Walks around the pub were listed in The Telegraph as some of the best to enjoy in the country, and those who attend might want to make an afternoon of it with a stroll in the area beforehand.

As part of the partnership with Denzel's all those who attend will be given a goody bag to take home with them.

Those interested are asked to book their place at the event via the Westleton Crown's website.
