Easytiger Asian Kitchen
Easytiger Asian Kitchen in Beccles is already a hit with restaurant goers and winning awards.
Easytiger Asian Kitchen, the Asian fusion restaurant on Newgate in Beccles, is celebrating its first birthday.
What a year it has been for this passion project launched by co-owners Kevin Wainwright and David Little.
After visiting Asian countries many times on holiday, Kevin and David share a passion for the different cuisines.
Kevin explained: “We fell in love with the cuisine and culture of Thailand, Japan, India and Vietnam to name but a few places we have visited.”
Together with head chef Scott Nathan, they have created an incredible Asian fusion menu, with dishes influenced by Thai, Malaysian, Korean and Japanese cuisines.
Since opening just over a year ago, Easytiger has been voted Best Asian Fusion Restaurant in Suffolk by LTG Global Awards 22/23 and Best Newcomer at the Asian Curry Awards 2022.
In the last year, Easytiger has proven popular with restaurant goers – it is now the second most popular restaurant in Beccles on TripAdvisor. And not only that, it is in the top 10 restaurants in Suffolk on the site.
At this quirky contemporary restaurant, which seats just 32 people, food is served on stylish crockery with gold and black cutlery.
All food is freshly prepared and cooked to order and the menu changes frequently. Firm favourites are the Thai fishcakes with sweet chilli jam and beef rendang, which is served on the bone.
Other dishes include Penang prawn curry, Japanese BBQ pork, a curry of pork with Cromer crab, and sweet and sour duck.
Easytiger also offers a range of Asian inspired cocktails.
David said: “The team at Easytiger look forward to the next year with lots of new dishes and continued excellent service.”
Easytiger is open Tuesday to Saturday evenings only from 6-11pm. Booking is advisable, although Easytiger does have walk-in tables on a first come first served basis. Bookings can be made online at easytigerbeccles.com or by calling 01502 714423.
