Drivers are being warned to expect major delays around the Latitude Festival grounds as thousands of revellers leave the site.

Early this morning (July 24) the A12 and A145 near the festival grounds in Henham Park were seeing traffic build from Blythburgh to Brampton and Wangford.

Now over 10 miles of heavy traffic stretches from Yoxford to Wangford along the A12 and along the A145 towards Bramford.

People leaving the site by car should expect at least half an hour of delays.

The weekend-long event welcomed visitors earlier than expected due to planned rail strikes, opening its camping and caravan sites on Wednesday rather than Thursday.

This year's latest departure time remains 1pm and is likely to cause disruption up to and beyond this time.

Pulp, James and Sophie Ellis-Bextor were among the acts that performed during a wet muddy weekend at the festival site.
