A comedy legend has been in Norfolk to talk about his experiences of being a student in the county on an Apple-charting podcast.
Arthur Smith has appeared on The Promoter Mouths podcast.
It is hosted by Loddon-based comedy promoters Kai Barron and Paul Dunn.
Mr Smith had headlined three comedy shows at Beccles, Chedgrave and Wingfield for Mr Barron's Shaft of Wit venture.
On the podcast, he talked candidly about his experiences as a young man in the area while studying at the University of East Anglia.
He said: “I spent my second year staying in a tent in Bluebell Woods which gave me an excuse to sleep on other people’s floors."
He also recounted his hitchhiking adventures from London back up to Norwich, such as the time he hitched a lift with a speeding nun.
Mr Smith will be returning to the region on June 3, when he headlines for Mr Dunn's WCB Comedy venture at Southwold Arts Centre.
