Work to transform a former methodist church into a community daycare centre is under way.
The centre will be the new base of the Friends of Halesworth Community Health and Care, which needed to relocate after the Patrick Stead Hospital, where it formerly operated, closed down.
A new office block will be attached to the back of the former church and work on the inside layout is almost completed.
The next step will be to clad that part of the building, then work can begin finishing off the outside.
The Friends trustees plan to put solar panels on the roof of the new office block, once the renovation work is completed.
Depending upon finances, the trustees also hope a lift can be installed so the centre can cater for those who are unable to manage the stairs.
An opening date for the new centre has not been confirmed, but trustees said they were "excited" for the project to be completed so social daycare services could be offered to the community again.
