After a record-breaking year that saw more than 520 visitors over 21 weekends Bungay Museum is planning to build on the success with an additional opening day this year.
The museum, which reopens on April 1, will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm; on Sundays from 10am to 1pm and Thursdays from 10am to 1pm.
With the museum run entirely by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, they are always pleased to welcome new recruits.
Jacqueline Holmes, trustee at Bungay Museum, said: "In particular, we need more help with stewarding, the only requirement is you like talking to people and have an interest in the history of the area.
"At any one time we like to have at least two people on duty.
"Helping with stewarding even if it’s for just an hour a month is a great way to learn about our town and keep its history alive."
Based in two rooms in the Town Hall in Broad Street, the museum charts the history of the area.
