A bakery chain is continuing its expansion across East Anglia after announcing a new site in Beccles.
Two Magpies Bakery has been "itching" to open in the town and will be welcoming customers by the end of the month.
The café, situated in Market Square, will be the first 'mini-Magpie' location, which will have a stronger focus on takeaways rather than eating-in.
Steve Magnall, director and co-owner, said: "We have been itching to get into Beccles. It is a great location with fantastic locals and we look forward to opening.
"We've had lots of people asking when we will open there and after announcing the move on social media, we had a great response.
"It took a while to find the perfect location and while smaller than our other cafés, it was a brilliant opportunity to take the premises on and see how it goes."
The award-winning firm started life in 2013 and has since grown in success.
The new café will be the chain's eighth location in Norfolk and Suffolk, along with sites at Southwold, Holt, Norwich, Darhsham, Aldeburgh, Blakeney and Woodbridge.
Mr Magnall, who founded the business with Rebecca Bishop, added: "This will be the first mini-Magpie concept café to open.
"We will have a chef on-site but eat-in options will be limited compared to our other sites, focusing on small bites like sandwiches, soups and more.
"But we will still have all the delicious baked goodies we are known for that can be taken away, from cakes, and croissants to sausage rolls along with teas and coffees."
Amid rising energy costs, the chain announced earlier this year it had made the thrifty decision to reuse leftovers in its recipes to help reduce waste and save on ingredients.
"Currently business is tight and like most businesses, we are suffering the effects of the energy crisis.
"Winter is always a quiet period but it makes for a good time to launch our new site and get established in the town ready for the busier summer months."
The café opens its doors on January 30 and will be serving customers seven days a week between 8.30am - 4pm initially.
