A family ran sports bar with room in one bar for "well over 100 people" is ready to welcome punters and hopes for a "big atmosphere" ahead of England’s first game next Monday.
Chinny's in Halesworth was opened in 2013 by brothers, Trevor, and Carl Chenery and the owners are “excited” to welcome guests in what will be the business's third World Cup tournament shown.
Carl said: "We want our big events room to be as atmospheric and vibrant as possible.
"In previous years the room has had well over 100 people within all in great voice.
“We are equipped with a big surround sound system set up, four projectors showing the game and also five screens around the room showing the game.
“In the main bar we have one big projector showing the game and we also have four TV screens dotted about the room.”
The brother owners abandoned their careers as a postman and a builder to make Chinny's work, and the business has been well supported by the people of Halesworth.
Trevor said: “For the 2014 World Cup we had just opened, while the 2018 World Cup was a brilliant success, but now in nine and a half years open, we are fully prepared and excited to welcome people."
Chinny's, situated at 27 Norwich Rd, Halesworth, is just behind the train station, with owners encouraging people from outside the town to use the service to come and watch games.
Former builder, Carl, said: “We have our regulars and know most people in the town, but it would be nice to see fresh faces if people from surrounding areas took advantage of the train network.
“When England is playing, we serve a simplified menu, we will be serving burgers and hot dogs, with a vegan and veggie option available too.
“All food is homemade and locally sourced produce.
“We have a wide range of beers, ales, ciders and wines available.”
When England is not playing the full menu will be available for guests.
The sports bar has lots to keep guests entertained other than just watching football.
Former postman, Trevor, said: “We have six English pool tables and two American pool tables.
“We also have five dart lanes for those who wish to play some darts.
“We are excited to welcome guests to cheer on the Three Lions this winter and should they bring it home, it will be a nice Christmas gift for us all.”
