It wasn't just Chris Martin who was on the scoresheet on Saturday afternoon - for his brother Anthony netted for Anglian Combination Premier side Beccles Town too.
While Chris nodded home the winning goal for Norwich against Leeds, sadly Anthony's header was not enough for victory as his second-placed side lost 2-1 at Mattishall.
Beccles fixtures secretary Tim Scarfe said: “Anthony netted a header. Shame he couldn't get another one!” he laughed. “He's a centre forward and was up front on his own as Alan Remblance has got a cracked rib.”
Another Martin brother, Gerald, plays for Beccles Reserves. The defeat was a blow for the Wherrymen, who had been in great form, beating leaders North Walsham and Watton in the past week. Mattishall's goals were by Joe Edwards and Simon Wooden.
Leaders North Walsham's wobble continued with a 1-1 draw at lowly Spixworth. Matthew Lown netted for Angels with Lee Askew for the hosts.
Acle rose from eighth to fifth, hitting visitors Brandon for six with no reply. Goals came from John Curtis with a hat-trick, Daniel Foreman's brace and Nathan Thompson.
Third-placed Hempnall kept in the title race with a 3-1 win over Sprowston Athletic and they have games in hand over the teams above. Robert Browne hit two and Iain Mills the other, with Jason Armes netting for the visitors.
It was also a good day for Cromer, who rose one to fourth, having returned from Loddon with a 4-1 (James Pipe brace, David Harwood and Darren Terrington with James Majoribanks replying). Sheringham beat Dersingham Rovers 2-0 with Jonathan Abbs netting.
Blofield were 3-1 winners at St Andrews (Greg Murphy, Neil Hurren and Danny McKail with Kyle Downes scoring for the hosts). Wroxham Reserves netted four times (James Bulman brace, Jamie George and Ashley Mitchell) with one in response from visitors Watton (Mark Allibone).
Meanwhile, in Division One, leaders Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves were 4-0 winners at Long Stratton (Darren Glynn, Adam Boggis, Leon Harewood and an own goal).
Norwich St Johns beat Bungay 4-0 (Luke Tuttle twice, Graham Carr and Aaron Kay). Holt's Billy Edwards scored a brace and Joshua Dixon one in a 3-1 win over Scole (Graham Ruddock). Horsford hosted Caister and it ended 1-1 (Scott McKinney for the hosts and Garrett Ward).
Corton won 3-0 at Poringland (Tony Baxter brace and Nathan Wilkinson). Stalham hosted a goal-less draw against Hindringham. It was 1-0 between Wells (Chris Broughton) and Sole Bay when the game was abandoned through injury.
Wymondham (David Ramsbottom and Jonathan Page) drew 2-2 with Reepham for whom Martin Bramble netted twice.
