JUNE ROSE HOWARD
Died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020, aged 85. June had lived in Lowestoft all her life apart from brief periods as an evacuee during the war. June married Frank in August 1959, with whom she had three children, Nicholas, Michele and Frances. She worked for some years in the telephone exchange before training to be a teacher at Keswick Hall. She qualified in 1975 and then taught in Oulton Broad Primary School until she retired in 1993. June travelled extensively throughout her life and was a passionate photographer, a member of the Lowestoft Photographic Club and the Royal Photographic Society. She loved art and music, greatly enjoying concerts and exhibitions. An avid gardener, June took huge pride in her own garden, gaining inspiration from visiting gardens throughout the country. She was a member of the Hardy Plant Society for many years. June was a generous volunteer - she was a reader and recorder for Sound East and was a volunteer at RSPB Minsmere for over thirty years. Her ashes will be scattered there. We are unable to hold a funeral service at this time, but we will hold a celebration of her life with friends and family later in the year when we are able. June will be much missed. In lieu of flowers the family have requested donations, via a cheque made out to RSPB Minsmere. JUNE ROSE HOWARD (nee Randlesome)
