A town's beer festival which raises funds devoted to community assets is set for a hugely anticipated return.
The popular Beccles Beer Festival returns to Beccles Public Hall & Theatre from Friday, November 10 to Sunday, November 12.
It will raise funds for the hall and Beccles Lido.
It will showcase 35 ales, ciders and lagers from 23 local breweries, and music from two local bands, The Hot Stove 3 on Friday and Frank & The Beans on Saturday.
Shaun Crowley, Beccles Lido managing director, said: “Admission to Beccles Beer Festival is free and there is no advance ticket required, but as in previous years you will need to buy a £3 souvenir glass for your beer.”
Festival organiser, Graham Elliott, added: “Beccles Beer Festival raises valuable funds and showcases two amazing community assets – Beccles Lido and Beccles Public Hall.
"It also showcases the fantastic range of ales brewed in the region, with the return of many old favourites as well as lots of ales new to the festival.”
There will be bar skittles, as well as a “beer themed cryptic crossword” and a “silent pub quiz” with beer-related questions.
The festival will again be operating a cashless bar, and is instead selling £10 cards at the door with which to purchase your glass and beers.
The Public Hall bar will also be open for soft drinks, bottled beers and ciders, wine and spirits, and a range of hot and cold food and snacks will be available.
Full details are on the festival website www.becclesbeerfestival.co.uk and Facebook page.
Beccles Beer Festival opens from 4pm until 11pm on Friday, midday until 11pm on Saturday, and midday until 6pm on Sunday, when off-licence sales will be available.
